Hi there,

I added about 12 new accounts (User Profiles, Website Profiles and Hub Linking Profiles) this morning.  Had to reboot my computer and when I reopened SHB, they were gone.  The success log files are still present but the Settings.xml file is missing all of the entries.

Any ideas what the problem could be here?

Thanks.

Hi

thanks for the post

did you click the save button after you entered the profiles?

After you enter the details into your profiles then the system will use it for signup.

I am speaking to the team about it this as you have faced the issue after a re-boot and some of the signups had already been completed - so we will try to replicate the issue and see if we can find any issues

thanks

The thing is that the other issue I was dealing with (when I blanked out my Settings.xml in SHS after editing it) was happening while SHB was running in the background.  Now the installations of SHS and SHB are in separate folders but I just thought I'd mention that.

Otherwise, I had created the new accounts, saved them and when I reopened SHB, they were all gone.  Since then, I've just resaved empty profiles so that the success files that had already been logged would not get overwritten.

That worked fine but now I have 12 blank profiles in SHB which I guess isn't a problem at all unless I needed to do something again with the profiles.  In this case, I'll have to go back through each one and resave all the pertinent info by using the success files for each profile.

Ok thanks

having the shs and shb in separate folders will be fine and shouldn't cause you any issues - We have the settings file hard coded to be in their folders -

The best piece of advise I can give for now until we can narrow anything down is to do the following.

After you have loaded your profiles - and made any changes clicked save etc - then click on the exit button in the SHB - then re-open -

I re-call another user who was using the shb and had many profiles inside of it- The shb crashed and closed - as a result when he re-opened it all his profile info was reverted back to the last data that was entered(when the shb closed properly) So just to save any issues, if you are loading loads of data and its not going to be as easy as importing data from a csv file then Exit the software after you enter it all then re-open.

We will certainly be looking into it

thanks
