Hi

I have been using ABB for some time and I realize that sometimes
I could not sign up an account or post on the profile of the new account.
I think it is best if the ABB will also AUTO LOG OFF FIRSTfor us every time it is
signing up or posting the signature/profile links.

Please do this ASAP. =)

Regards

Yes that's one of the features that I really want too.

Now I'm so used to it I click on internet options and clear cookies without even thinking :d

it's a must to clear cookies before each run, otherwise it will fail a lot of the forums.

yeah that's why I use google Chrome for my normal internet activities.

Then I can delete the cookies of IE anytime I want. Also google Chrome is much faster.

Maybe you can try using other browsers as your main browser too.

<newbie> Is that why 40% - 80% of the emails i have confirmed say "not registered yet" </newbie>

Auto log off is desperately needed if that is the case..

I've just ran through all the PhBB/MyBB etc etc - confirmed all the emails, stripped down the .csv - overwrote the original ***.txt files with the ones that allowed me to create an account via the SuccessSignups.csv file(s) and deleted all the other url's!

Have i just lost x.y.z amounts of probable working websites!?!

Some forums will just not get reported in successsignupdata file.

I tried to work around this. But I tried it so many times.

There are forums that just won't get reported after success signup.

There are also forums that won't report profileurl even after successful posting.

I consider this some kind of bug. But I think 90% of the successful sites get reported. So you probably lost a few working sites, but not a huge amount.

Hope this helps,

*snip*

Hope this helps,

Ok at least i wasn't making an error; bloody frustrating i presume you agree.  I thought i had done something wrong in the order of works.  (signup - confirm - post) i copied/pasted successful.csv overwriting the original *.txt files - having a slim down version to signup too - and some of these have failed..

I just could not get my head around sitting there for hour after hour filling in captcha boxes to then post the day after the day i confirmed the emails for the reply on the sites (watching ABB work) for the result to say "you are not registered / you have not activated / name not found / incorrect password" etc etc etc etc.

The laptop nearly went through the window this afternoon! Smiley  It's Friday i have been at this for a week and only made <600 posts - I'm tired stressed and in the need of some Jack Daniels.!!

Have a good weekend USA from the UK.

Hey BB.

There seriously is something wrong in what you are doing. But as for now I don't see what is wrong.

Also I recall myself too when I was trying to do it all manually.

I strongly recommend u get a decaptcher account. It will make your life much easier.

I make 600 profiles everyday. And I still haven't finished my $10 that I added in my decaptcher account 4 weeks ago.

Another thing is it's really hard to find some good expressionengine forums these days.

I'm still scraping everyday. But you know, I scrape about 300, then I remove the ones that I'm already using, then I remove the ones that I put in blacklist, and I get left with about 100.

Then I run these 100 to see which ones work, and after filtering those that need an admin to activate, those that doesn't let you write in bio, those that the bio urls are not linkable, those that have a huge delay in sending verif email... I get left with 10 good forums.

So yeah, maybe the ones you worked with have the problems that I listed above, therefore will let you fail.

Hope this helps BB,

Try not to get frustrated because most of your problems are not coming from the ABB. For example the PHPbb's that you signed up for it is my experience that most of them are going to say "you are not registered / you have not activated / name not found / incorrect password/ in moderation" which is why I don't use them very often. As far as the other platforms you are going to run into the same thing. Just do what Isac does, go through everything save the ones that your links stick with and keep scraping. In time you will end up with a "master list" of profiles hopefully in the 1000's. Just keep plugging away.
